Seven Deadly Sins

Try and avoid the following seven sins for healthy living:

·   Obesity: Your weight must not exceed 20 per cent of your ideal weight. Over-weight places more stress on the heart to supply blood to the additional fat cells.

·    Physical Inactivity: Majority of the people today lead a sedentary lifestyle and this raises the risk of a heart attack. Therefore, eat less and exercise more.

·  Smoking/Alcohol: Such bad habits can increase the risk of premature deaths or even life-long diseases.

·    Blood Cholesterol: High cholesterol is a poison for your body system. So put a brake on your fat consumption.

·   Blood Pressure: Keep your salt in-take low as eating more salt can lead to high blood pressure.

·   Diabetes: It is hazardous to your health because diabetes makes you vulnerable to heart problems.

·     Stress: Stress leads to heart problems. Take a break and practice yoga or meditation to maintain equilibrium of health and achieve peace of mind.
